About The Glassworker
Released on July 26, 2023, The Glassworker follows Vincent Oliver, a young glassworker, as he develops a close friendship with Alliz Amano, a talented violinist. Set in a war-torn nation, they encounter numerous challenges while pursuing their dreams. The film beautifully explores themes of love, artistry, and resilience amid adversity.
Riaz, alongside screenplay writer Moya O’Shea and music composer Carmine DiFlorio, invested years into this project. Produced under Riaz’s Mano Animation Studios, the film serves as a heartfelt tribute to cinema. In doing so, it highlights the potential of animated storytelling in Pakistan.

Mohammed Ali Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee, emphasized the significance of this selection.
